I would like to thank Swarens Funeral Home for everything they did for us when my Mother Ruth Churchill passed away. Josh Cook met us late Friday night around 8:30P.M. to make the final arrangements due to my Brother & sister in law needing to travel back home that evening. He had been very busy the entire day dealing with other families, but still took the time for all or our needs and did an excellent job! The day of the funeral Josh & Christie went beyond their job descriptions and made us feel very well taken care of. From asking if we needed anything, to trying to bring us drinks during the visitation while talking with friends and other family members to making sure everything was as perfect as could be! Everything was set up perfectly, from photos being put up on magnet boards and arranged throughout the funeral home of our Mother to flowers, wind chimes, afghans, etc... When the funeral was over they waited for us to return after a meal to retrieve our personal pictures, flowers and everything else that was left from the funeral. We had requested that people donate to the Alzheimer's Association and I didn't know where to send the checks or who to make them out to and they so kindly took care of all of that for us too.

Swarens Funeral Home did such a great job for Tom Speaker's graveside service. They were caring and asking if there was anything we needed. Swarens gets A five star rating because Tom would have been so pleased as I was.

The staff at Swarens Funeral Home was professional, caring, and courteous during the meeting to plan the funeral of my husband, Eddie Adams. We, the family, were given all the information we needed to help set up the visitation and funeral. We were given a lot of leeway and allowed to add or subtract anything we wanted. There many choices of caskets so that we could choose exactly what we wanted; IU was even added to the concrete covering for the casket at the cemetery. We had choices of songs to be played, and the staff even allowed us to have many more pictures than I have ever seen at a funeral. The ISP honor guard detail was treated so well and even fed by the staff. I was told by many of those attending the visitation and funeral that everything was so well-organized and good. For me, the best part was that my husband looked like he did before he was injured from a fall and a long-hospitalization and stay in a nursing home. Thank you to Josh Cook and his entire staff. I couldn't even count how many funerals I've been to a Swarens. I've never noticed any issues or seen a "bad" service there. I felt like they did a really good job helping my mother-in-law put everything together when her mom passed away last year, which was much appreciated.
